Description

Bold & Spicy, our original kimchi is bursting with concentrated umami flavors, and an unforgettable transformative 'kimchi power' experience that will leave you craving for more.

Crafted with love and care, our kimchi is made using the freshest vegetables sourced directly from our local farmers' markets. Eat it straight out of the jar for an effortless snack, try it atop your rice, noodle and grain bowls, eggs, sauteed greens, fried rice, stews and soups!

Our small-batch production ensures the preservation of flavor and nutrients, delivering a product rich in probiotics for optimal gut health. As it ages, its flavors deepen and evolve, creating a flavorful masterpiece that evolves with time. For a little less savory and a bit more zazz, try our Banchan Foods Vegan Kimchi. Depending on several variables, from the temperature and length of fermentation to the flavor profiles of the produce available, no two batches of kimchi are ever the same.

Keep refrigerated for up to a year. Since kimchi is made of fermented vegetables, technically it can last forever and is made to last a long time. If the taste changes it is still edible. In Korea they say Kimchi can never expire. You'll probably polish it off before it gets 'too interesting' but don't worry-- if the flavor shifts, it's still packed with all the healthy goodness you love.

Disadvantages
Might be a tad too spicy for some

I first noticed this kimchi on Harvestly about 3 weeks ago and I am already working on my second jar. It is a bright burst of flavor and spices! I personally love how spicy this is, but some might find it a little too spicy for their liking. However, if they cut up the kimchi and eat it with a bit more rice then it might be ok for their palettes. For those who don't know, kimchi is a fermented food so you can literally feel good about eating this little delight that's so good for your gut health. I'll definitely be purchasing this regularly since it's so much better than store bought!

Advantages
It's bright, fresh, and oh so spicy! It has great texture too. I've sampled just about all the kimchi options available at Lassons, Whole Foods, the Asian Market and Sprouts and they pale in comparison—should have guessed that the best kimchi ever is made in SLO!
Disadvantages
This kimchi is for people who like it spicy!

Advantages
Great taste, delicious, small batch, local, just the right amount of spice! What else could you want in your kimchi! I’m always trying to find a way to incorporate more fermented foods into my diet and this kimchi makes it so easy. Great with pretty much any Asian inspired dishes, makes rice so tasty! Honestly, I like it straight from the jar. Get some! I know you won’t be disappointed! ❤️
Disadvantages
So tasty, you’ll need a second, third, and fourth jar, ASAP.
