Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions...
On your next order, simply place your Harvestly insulated bag, ice packs, glass jars, egg cartons, clamshells, and any other reusable packaging… right back inside your bag and leave it out for pickup.
Our driver will collect everything, we’ll clean and sanitize it, and return it to our vendors for reuse.
It’s a full-circle moment! Reusing helps reduce waste, keep packaging out of landfills, support sustainable farming, and keep vendor costs down.
Basically, you’re not just ordering groceries, you’re joining a little eco-revolution on the Central Coast.
We keep it simple:
Orders under $50 = $5 flat-rate delivery (within 40 miles of San Luis Obispo)
Orders over $50 = FREE delivery

Here’s how the Harvestly magic happens:
Orders close Wednesday at midnight. This gives our farmers time to harvest and our food makers time to prepare everything fresh just for you.
Devliery Day = Friday. Our drivers arrive at our warehouse at 1 pm on Friday, load up your beautiful bags of goodness, and head out on their routes.
Deliveries happen Friday afternoon between 1 pm - 5 pm.
And because we love a good heads-up, you’ll get a text when your driver is on the way and you’ll get a second text when your order has been delivered to your doorstep.
Fresh food. Clear timing. Zero guesswork.
Why? Because we’re serious about freshness and eliminating food waste. No warehouse veggies. No sad, soggy lettuce. Just straight-from-the-source goodness!
Your chilled and frozen items are packed in insulated Harvestly bags with ice packs to keep everything fresh and food-safe until it reaches your door. Cold stuff stays cold. Frozen stuff stays frozen. Oh yes. We treat your food like VIP cargo.
No worries! We’ll leave your order safely at your delivery location. We recommend leaving a cooler out if you won’t be home, especially on warm Central Coast days, but we pack everything carefully to help maintain temperature.
You'll also receive a text message when the delivery driver is on the way and a second text when they have left your order on your doorstep. Communication is key!
Some of our vendors are certified organic. Many are not.
Here’s the honest truth: organic certification is expensive and can be tough for small farms. We proudly work with mostly small, local farmers who use regenerative and sustainable practices, even if they don’t carry the official certification stamp.
Want to dig deeper? Follow individual vendors on their websites or social media to learn more about how they grow and raise their products. You can also click 'Ask a Question' on any product when you're logged in to communicate directly with the farmer or food producer.
Local means grown or made right here in SLO and northern SB counties, right here on the Central Coast. When you shop Harvestly, you’re supporting your neighbors. Your farmers. Your makers. Your community. No mystery miles. No cross-country carrots.
* The only vendor that is an exception is Straus Family Creamery in Petaluma. We do our best to provide our customers with a complete shopping experience and when they requested dairy products, this was the closest we could find to fulfill this market.
Absolutely.
Already placed an order? Just place another one before the Wednesday midnight deadline and we’ll combine them into the same delivery. If you’re charged a second delivery fee, don’t panic, we automatically refund duplicate delivery fees going to the same address.
We see you. We got you.
We LOVE that energy.
If you grow it, bake it, make it, bottle it, or create it locally, we’d love to meet you. Head to our vendor application link and apply to join the Harvestly marketplace. Be prepared to share about your kitchen space or farm and your liability insurance and be able to provide those documents.
Our crew of all-star vendors is always growing.
Every order includes a small 5% service fee. This helps us:
Pick up products from vendors
Sort and pack everything into Harvestly bags
Coordinate deliveries
Cover insulated bags and ice packs that don’t make it back to our warehouse
It keeps the Harvestly engine running smoothly and your food arriving beautifully.
