Flavor is somewhat mild but can be a mix of vanilla, banana, and even pear. Seeds are quite hard so be mindful. Luckily they are easy to spot and remove. Skin is not edible. My favorite FYI-cherimoyas are not pollinated by bees. Instead beetles, ants and even humans with tiny brushes do the job.

If you have any leftover cooked shiitake mushrooms, they’ll last for up to 5 days in the refrigerator in a sealed container. To reheat just place them in the microwave at 50% power. I often double the recipe so that I have some leftovers to hand for the rest of the week!
